About: English girl, travelling around Australia, collecting memories, making friends and getting LIT UP!!
Why did you decide to travel? It’s an urge I’ve had for a long time, home life got boring and I wanted more – also chasing the sunshine helps.
Where do you come from? Hertfordshire, England
Where do you want to go next? New Zealand, South East Asia & America
What is your number one tip for travelling? Don’t make too many plans, remember what you came to do and places you wanted to see, but spontaneity can be great and the best people can change your path – go with the flow.
What has been your biggest challenge to overcome? My Farmwork! Mentally challenging for sure, but in general just letting loose a bit, at home I’m very organised and uptight so I’ve really learnt to just go with it!
What do you miss about home? My Niece, it’s hard being away when she is so young and I’m missing her grow up...and obviously my mum’s cooking
What have you learnt about yourself? That I can be independent and I don’t need to rely on other people as much as I thought I did
Favourite Quote? “The world is a book, and those who don’t travel only read one page”
Favourite new thing? (i.e. food you have tried, skill, tradition, place) I am enjoying the laid back lifestyle of Australia and I love to try all the cultural foods in every country I visit.
What advice would you give to other girls wanting to travel? Take chances, just go and don’t put travelling off. You will always find the money to do something. If you set your mind to do something...you can do anything.
